How the IH method works - 


If an electric current is supplied to the coil under the inner pot, a line of magnetic force is generated in the coil, and when it passes through the inner pot, the eddy current is generated at the bottom of the inner pot by the iron contained in the pot. The eddy current heats up only the inner pot itself, and cooking is done by the heat.
